• Special Precautions: Pernicious anemia.
• Patients w/ chronic renal failure & receiving acetylsalicylic acid.
• Hematologic remission may occur while neurological manifestations remain progressive.
• Serum B12 levels should be regularly assessed in elderly & patients w/ condition leading to vit B12 depletion.
• Fe therapy could induce relapse of erythropoietic protoporphyria.
• Pregnancy & lactation.
