Daktarin Miconazole Oral Gel
Description:
•Used for the prevention & treatment of fungal infections of the mouth; throat & GIT.
Instructions:
•Oropharyngeal candidiasis: Adult; children ≥2 y/o: 2.5 mL (½ measuring spoon) four times a day. Infant 6-24 months: 1.25 mL (¼ measuring spoon) four times a day. Or alternatively; apply the gel sufficiently to cover affected area four times a day. GIT candidiasis: Children ≥6 months: 20 mg/kg body wt/day in 4 divided doses. Maximum dose: 250 mg (four times daily).
Ingredients:
•Each gram of oral gel contains 20 mg of Miconazole.

Precautions:
•Special Precautions: Infant <6 mth or if swallowing reflex not fully developed. Pregancy and Lactation. Side Effects: GI discomfort with long-term treatment.
