Katrina Abel Sling Bag
Our Katrina Abel Sling Bag is made from Pinilian Inabel, a fabric handwoven on a traditional pedal loom since the Spanish era in the Ilocos region of the Philippines. The beautiful fabric is traditionally used as table cloth or blankets and is designed with geometric motifs representing the natural world such as stars, zigzag rivers, flowers, and fruits. Weaving of this fabric is passed on through the generations and is a carefully preserved part of the region's cultural heritage.
Habi Home takes this traditional fabric and turns it into a functional object fit for the times. As we work from home, learn from home, and socialize from home, do it in style and comfort at the same time supporting artisans and their craft.
