Scapegrace Black Premium Dry Gin (700 ml) is a multi-award-winning contemporary spirit made by Scapegrace Distillery at the foot of the Southern Alps in New Zealand. It is celebrated as the world's first naturally black gin. Due to the inclusion of pH-sensitive botanicals, the inky-black liquid shifts colors to shades of lavender and pink when mixed with tonic water or citrus.
ABV: 41.6% (83.2 proof).
Origin: Central Otago, New Zealand.
Botanicals: 13 natural extracts, featuring butterfly pea flower, aronia berry, saffron, pineapple, and sweet potato (k?mara).
Aroma: Fragrant and fruit-forward; sweet pineapple, concord grapes, and citrus zest blended into resinous juniper and dry earthy spice.
Palate: Velvety, oily, and full-bodied. Crisp layers of lime juice, menthol coolness, and warm peppery spices (cassia and coriander) over traditional juniper.
Finish: Moderately long and smooth with a distinct trace of candied sweet potato and tropical pineapple.
