Bounty Fresh Whole Everyday Chicken
• Recipe: Chicken in Sprite
Ingredients:
• 1 whole chicken
• 500ml-700ml Sprite
• 5 med sized onions, sliced
• 1 stalk lemongrass
• 1 calamansi or 1 tbsp lemon
• 4 tbsp oyster sauce
• 1 tbsp soy sauce
• salt and pepper to taste
• hot sauce (optional)
Instructions:
1. Put / Insert the Lemongrass (Tanglad) into the stomach of the chicken and rub the chicken with salt and calamansi or lemon juice.
2. Put the chicken in the deep pot and add the remaining ingredients like onion etc.
3. Cover and cook for 45 minutes over a medium fire or until the chicken becomes tender.
4. After 25 minutes of cooking turn the chicken upside down so the color would be even.
5. Serve with the sauce of the chicken.
