Officially re-launched at the beginning of 2013, Tanqueray's limited edition Malacca is a sweet, spicy gin with increased levels of citrus. Originally introduced in the late 1990s based on a recipe by Charles Tanqueray from 1839, the gin acquired cult status among cocktail bartenders and is now much in demand.Tanqueray Malacca Gin is being produced as a limited-edition premium product with 100,000 individually numbered bottles being made available. While Tanqueray London Dry is a celebration of juniper – strong, assertive and astringent, Tanqueray Malacca has more botanical balance – soft, citrusy and evenly-spiced. It is delicious, soft and flavourful enough to sip neat, but has enough spice and structure for mixing, hence its great appeal to the bartenders of the world.
